Nonogram
Nonogram (also called Picross or Griddler) is a logic puzzle where you fill in cells on a grid to reveal a hidden picture. Clue numbers along each row and column tell you how many filled cells appear in that line and in what groups — your job is to deduce exactly which cells get filled. The puzzles start gentle on a 5×5 grid and ramp up to a challenging 15×15.
How to Play
Look at the clue numbers along the top (columns) and left (rows). Each number represents a consecutive run of filled cells in that line, in order. Use logic to determine which cells must be filled and which must be empty, then click or tap to fill them in.
- Left-click / tap a cell to fill it (mark it as part of the picture).
- Right-click / long-press a cell to mark it with an X (confirmed empty).
- Choose Easy (5×5), Medium (10×10), or Hard (15×15) difficulty at the top.
- Each puzzle is randomly generated — every game is different.
Tips & Strategy
- Start with the largest clues. A clue that almost fills its line gives you definite cells immediately — for example, a clue of 8 in a 10-cell row means the middle 6 cells are definitely filled.
- Mark known empties. Placing X markers in cells you know are empty prevents mistakes and makes the remaining cells easier to read.
- Cross-reference rows and columns. A cell that's confirmed filled from a row clue also satisfies (or constrains) its column clue — always check both directions.
- Don't guess. Every Nonogram can be solved by pure logic. If you're stuck, look for another row or column with more constraints.
