Solitaire
Solitaire (Klondike) is the classic Windows patience game that has helped people procrastinate productively for decades. Deal seven tableau columns, flip cards from the stock pile, build foundation stacks up from Ace to King in each suit, and see if you can clear the whole deck. About 80% of Klondike deals are winnable — but finding the win still takes a sharp eye.
How to Play
Move cards between the seven tableau columns, building sequences in descending alternating colours (red on black, black on red). Turn over face-down cards as you expose them. Move complete or partial sequences to the four foundation piles (top-right), starting with Aces and building up to Kings by suit.
- Click or tap a card to select it; click or tap the destination to move it.
- Drag and drop cards directly to their destination.
- Stock pile: click/tap to draw from the face-down deck (draw-1 or draw-3 mode).
- Empty columns can only be filled with Kings (or sequences starting with a King).
- Undo: tap the Undo button to reverse your last move.
Tips & Strategy
- Expose face-down cards first. Every face-down card is a mystery — uncovering them gives you more options. Prioritise columns with the most face-down cards.
- Don't rush Aces to foundations. Keeping a low card in the tableau can help you stack more cards on it before moving it up.
- Build on high cards in the tableau. A King with a long sequence attached is less useful than an uncovered Ace. Try to keep higher cards free to receive sequences.
- Use undo strategically. If a draw reveals an important card, undo and rearrange the tableau before drawing again.
